Jana started her yoga journey during her teenage years. She soon became aware of its benefits as a complete approach to health and well being. Yoga became her passion from then on.
She began to teach yoga in 1981. Over the years she participated in many workshops, training, lectures and conferences in different parts of the world. She is a registered yoga teacher. In her practice as well as in her teaching she explores various styles of yoga – Vinyasa flow, Anusara, Iyengar, restorative, hatha yoga, meditation…
It is in her nature to continue exploring the wisdom and power within yoga and consequently pass on her knowledge, passion and discoveries in the classes. Jana has a compassionate heart and will go out of her way to ensure that everyone leaves the class feeling well exercised, rejuvenated, relaxed and inspired.
Diane Froese is an enthusiastic student of yoga. Movement has always been a large part of her life. She grew up competing nationally in Rythmic Gymnasts, then shared her skills and knowledge with young gymnasts coaching the same sport for six years.
Over a decade ago Diane discovered yoga. This discovery took her back to her roots – her passion for movement synchronized with breath and awareness. As she began to see the benefits of a steady practice reach into all areas of her life, she decided to share this ancient healing practice with others, becoming certified as a Yoga Teacher.
Diane feels truly grateful to live out her passion. She brings to class a sense of humour and fun with an emphasis on proper body alignment. It is her absolute pleasure to work with others on their own journeys of healing, wellness and awareness.
Diane is a certified Registered Yoga Teacher, MRU Certified Yoga Therapist, Yin Yoga Teacher and a Lakshmi Voelker Chair Yoga Teacher.
Amanda has always had a passion for movement, and overall well-being. Growing up she did competitive ballet and later tried yoga when ballet no longer fit in her life. What she received from yoga was so much more then she could have imagined! The way yoga impacted her life on and off the mat had Amanda signing up for a 200 hour yoga teacher training in 2012.
A regular book worm, Amanda knows that learning is never done in the ever fluid health and fitness industry. She followed up her original certification with a certification in Joga (Yoga for Athletes), Personal training and a 300 hour yoga teacher training in India.
Working with Amanda you can expect; encouragement, support, a focus on body alignment, all the while keeping things light, remembering that movement is such a gift!
Jesse is so pleased and excited to be joining Yoga on Corydon and can’t wait to meet you! Jesse discovered the benefits of yoga and meditation in her teens, and later made these activities part of her everyday routine in her early twenties. She has had experiences with anxiety, depression, trauma and grief, and has found that yoga is an amazing tool for managing these feelings we all experience at one time or another. Yoga is so much more than just the asana (posture) practice, it is a guideline for living a healthy, happy, moral life, and a way to get to intimately know yourself. Jesse decided to take Yoga Teacher Training with Yandara Yoga Institute in late 2015, after realizing she wanted to spread the physical, mental and spiritual benefits of yoga, to help cultivate more healing and compassion. Jesse is a student and teacher of yoga, meditation and mindfulness, and is a certified Reiki (energetic healing) practitioner. Jesse is also about to complete her Master’s degree in Conservation Biology at University of Winnipeg, feel free to ask her about it if you’re interested, she loves to talk about science, almost as much as talking about yoga! Her other favourite things are her dog (Ginger), tea, hiking, crafting, crystals and houseplants.
Shannon Conan believes that yoga is for every Body and every Mind. Her class style is inclusive and offers an approach that is suitable to all in a friendly and supportive environment.
Shannon has always been physically active. During her pregnancy in 2005 she felt a need for a gentler form of exercise. It was then that she found yoga most fitting to fill this need. She found herself wanting to learn more and deepen her own personal practice. She says that yoga has changed her in many ways, nurturing and helping her to grow into more grounded and positive being.
She has undergone numerous yoga training and certification programs. Those include: 200 hour yoga teaching certification course at Yoga Centre Winnipeg, 50 hour Yin yoga certification course with Omniji Teacher’s College Winnipeg, Peg City Yoga 50 hour Sivatantra Yoga certification and Yoga Fit Level 1 & Health Care Level 1.
Shannon has been teaching yoga since 2014. She is excited to share her positive experiences and love for yoga with everyone.

Tracy Tomchuk has been a practitioner of yoga since 2007 and dancer since 1996. In 2015, she seriously injured her back at a competitive dance competition, which almost forced her out of the world of movement. Refusing to give up, Tracy committed to further understanding the body and mind through yoga and always putting a safe balanced practice above all else.
She completed her 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Certification in Dharamshala, India in August of 2017; teaching and training is at the centre of her life. Today, she is still an active teacher and student of Hip Hop Dance, Breakdancing, and Yoga; you will be happy to find yourself using safe alignment techniques while working towards inversions and/or balances in her All Levels Class.
Nicholas is Jana’s son, and has been doing yoga since before he can remember. He spent time as a child in a yoga centre in India, learning yoga from multiple teachers. He began teaching yoga at the age of 16 and has continued to teach since then.
Nicholas enjoys all forms of exercise, and combines his background in yoga with his education in science to better understand and explain proper posture and cues in the classes.
