Hope you are all enjoying this incredible fall weather. We are so happy that we can practise yoga with you, the classes in the studio and online are going well. It has been a challenging year for all of us but we keep on going and feeling stronger!

As we are approaching an end of the fall session here is the update for November and December. Because of the holiday season and the studio closing for some of the days for the celebrations please read the schedule and the fees carefully and please send us an e-mail to confirm the fee amount for 2 or more classes a week (it is more confusing than I would like!).

All existing classes will continue on. For the full schedule visit our Early Winter Session Page. The dates for the session are November 1 to December 31.

We will be closed on:

  • December 24 – 6pm and 7:45pm will be cancelled, 9:45am and 12:15pm classes are on.
  • Friday, December 25 – 9:45am class cancelled.
  • Saturday,December 26 – 10am class cancelled.
  • Thursday, December 31 – 6pm and 7:45pm will be cancelled, 9:45am and 12:15pm classes are on.
  • Friday, January 1 – 9:45am class cancelled.

The fees:

  • 1 class per week:
  • Monday – Thursday (9:45am and 12:15pm) classes 9 weeks $103.95 (with senior’s discount $93.55)
  • Thursday (6 and 7:45pm) classes 7 weeks $80.85 (with senior’s discount $72.76)
  • Friday – 7 weeks $80.85 ($72.76 with senior’s discount)
  • Saturday – 8 weeks $92.40 ($83.16 with senior’s discount)- $115.50 (Seniors +65 and Students – $103.95)
  • 2 classes per week:
  • Monday- Thursday (9:45am and 12:15pm) classes 9 weeks $189 (with senior’s discount $170.10)
  • For 2 or more classes a week or prorated fees please send us an e-mail to yogaoncorydon@gmail.com to confirm the right amount.
  • Just let us know which classes you would like to attend.
  • You can pay by cheque, cash, e-transfer (to yogaoncorydon@gmail.com) or a credit card. – $210.00 (Seniors +65 and Students – $189.00)

Hope you all had a nice relaxing and refreshing summer.

We would like to invite you for a welcome back outdoor yoga practice  at the Harrow/Fleet park on Saturday September 12 at 1:00 pm (rain date September 19). This time with an improved sound system! The cost for the class is $10.50 payable by e-transfer, credit card or cheque.

It is time to get back to our full fall schedule (7 days a week) in the studio. We are going to continue with the classes online while allowing a limited number of people in the studio in each class.

As we are presently live streaming the classes online please be aware that a large portion of the studio is taken up by video equipment and the instructor will not be able to provide individual instruction or adjustments during the class.

Please notice that there are a few changes in the schedule (they are underlined).

The dates for the fall session are September 8 to October 31 (We will be closed on September 6 and 7.

1 class a week:
8 week session Tuesdays – Saturdays  $92.40
($83.16 with senior’s 65+ or student’s discount)
7 weeks  Sundays and Mondays classes $80.85
($72.77 with senior’s 65+ or student’s discount)

2 classes a week:
$168 ($151.20 with discount)
If one class is on Monday or Sunday $157.50 ($141.75 with discount)

Drop-in $14.70 ($13.23 with discount)

Fees for less than 8 weeks will be prorated:
$12.60 per class coming once a week ($11.34 with discount)
$21 per week coming twice a week ($18.90 with discount)

You can register by sending an e-transfer to yogaoncorydon@gmail.com or send or drop off a cheque at the studio through the front door slot or by credit card over the phone (204-284-8877). Please specify if you are registering for the class online or in the studio.

I would like to thank all the instructors: Diane, Tracy and Jodi for their exceptional work teaching the classes and looking after the studio while I was taking the summer off.

As you know Tracy will be taking some time off. On behalf of all of you I would like to wish her all the best on her journey to become a wonderful mother we know she will be!

Yin Yoga / Stretch & Relax – by Diane

YinYoga 1Diane’s Stretch & Relax classes feature a slow-paced style of yoga known as Yin Yoga.

The Yin yoga classes are scheduled throughout the week. Please go to Class Schedules to find the most suitable class for you.

Yin Yoga is a practice that targets the deep connective tissues of the body – ligaments, bones and joints.  Poses are typically held for minutes at a time and generally target the pelvis, hips and lower spine.  A regular Yin practice is a great balance to active yoga styles, regulating the flow of energy in the body, releasing tension and developing a greater range of motion in the body.

Yogis In The Wild

Most Yogis like the outdoors, and Jana and Diane are no exception. This past summer they were able to enjoy some holidays at the lake, where they kept up their daily exercises.
