Newsletter – January 29, 2019

As I am writing this newsletter, the temperature outside is -34C, and there are going to be a few “hardy days” ahead of us Winnipegers!  But in spite of that we keep practicing yoga, coming to classes no matter how tough the ride or walk to the studio is.  It is always worth the little struggle!

I am a strong believer that the spring is behind the corner and with it comes the new dates for the upcoming session. Just look at the dates March 3- May 4 ( 9-week session)! All the existing classes are going to continue – no changes on the schedule. You can view the Spring Session page on this website to get the details.

As usual, prior to the beginning of this session, we are hosting a FREE INTRODUCTORY CLASS on Saturday, March 2nd from 1:00 – 2:00 pm for the newcomers to the studio.

We have a few special activities planned as always:
  • Saturday, February 16, 1:00 – 3:00 pm Yoga and Ayurveda Workshop with Jodi Griffith
  • Karma Meditation Class, February 24 and March 31, 7:00 – 8:00 pm with Diane – a free class by optional donation to Siloam Mission
  • Family week, April 28 – May 4th – an invitation for a friend or family member to join you for a class for free
  • And please save a date for Sunday, June 16, 1:00 – 2:30 pm  – Free Outdoor Yoga Class in the Assiniboine Park  followed by a picnic.

I have a small reminder to all of you coming to the classes.  Please be mindful if there is a class finishing before yours not to arrive too early. As it sometimes happens when you open the door and the class is finishing in Savasana, the cold draft that comes in makes it really hard and unpleasant for the people that are relaxing. Your attention to this will be much appreciated!!

I am looking forward to having you all in the classes warm or cold!
